Cheesy Pizza Scrolls Recipe

Instructions

1. Place flour in a large mixing bowl. Add chopped butter and rub it into the flour until totally combined. The flour should resemble pale yellow crumbs.
2. Season with salt and pepper. Make a well in the centre of the flour. Pour in milk.
Using a round-ended knife, make cutting motions through the mixture until a dough forms. (Add 1-2 tablespoons of milk if mixture is too dry)
3. Kneed dough for a few minutes, or until dough is smooth and elastic. Using a rolling pin, roll dough out between two sheets of baking paper, forming a large pastry rectangle (about 35 cm x 20 cm)
4. Spread pastry with pasta sauce, leaving a 2 cm gap around the edges. Top with ham, cheese and any other desired fillings.
5. Roll pastry tightly (from long end) to form a log. Slice log into 12 even pieces and place each scroll on a lined baking tray. Top each scroll with additional cheese.
Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius (180 for fan-forced ovens) for about 20 minutes, or until scrolls are golden, puffed and cheese has melted.
Serve immediately. Once cool, store scrolls in an airtight container.
